Default What Type of Arrows Do You Prefer?

I am new to bowhunting (I have only used guns up to this point), so I guess this question is common, but I do appreciate your responses. What type of arrow is best in your opinion and why?

Thanks!

My preference in this order:
1. Carbon/Aluminum
2. All Carbon
3. Aluminum
I have some of all but that's the way the rate IMO

Depends on what I'm using them for. If there is a broadhead on them, I prefer an aluminum/carbon.

I think nearly everyone these days uses carbon, in fact my local bow shop doesn't even carry aluminum arrows anymore. Carbon is usually going to be faster and i think they are tougher then the aluminum (which i thought were easy to accidentially bend). As far as a particular brand i have been using easton with some success but that's your call (i think they are all pretty good at this point)

Aluminums, they have better tolerances for the money than most carbon arrows do. I have shot both and prefer aluminums over the carbons.

I have never messed up an aluminum arrow that would not have ruined a carbon as well.

The "they are straight or broken" thing is a big myth, carbons can and do go bad. And unless you are paying good money for the really good ones chances are they may not be that great right out of the box.

And carbon arrows are not faster than aluminums if they are the same weight. Carbons are considered faster because you can get lighter arrows with the same spine rating most of the time. However if you want to shoot a 450 grn arrow it will not matter what type you pick they will both shoot the same.

My opinions anyway.
