A succesful hunt doesn't necessary mean a kill

RE: A succesful hunt doesn't necessary mean a kill
Some of my favorite hunts have ended with me watching yet another white flag go bounding away into the distance, and each time a smile came to my lips and the thought flitted through my mind as it had so many times before.

Rick ..... Rick .... Rick. I thought I taught you better. Face it, it wasn't a hunt. You were on a nature walk. It wasn't a successful hunt. Only TWACK would have made it so. I leave you alone for just a little while and that Maryland yuppie(DaveH) ruins you with all this touchy touchy feel good hunting. Blood on the snow would have made it a hunt. You were just out walking with nature.[8D][8D] As a hunter you both failed.

KEVIN1: Or think " man, that was neat ", with that smile you speak of. Your post instantly reminded me of the exact same thing.
I think majority of ethical hunters{ which by the way are the majority of hunters, IMHO} believe that the hunt is more important than the harvest. Hope so.

As an Outfitter, I wish some of my unsuccessfull hunters felt that way, lol, strange how money can change true hunting realities.[8D]

NY, the buck didn't present me with a shot although he was only 20 yards with no obstructions between us when he saw me. He was facing me straight on head bobbing and took off after about 2-3 seconds of that game.
