Let me run it down as I understand it.

Your Grandpa and you take care of this guys place.
You have permission to hunt.
The landowner also gave someone else permission.
You knew someone was comming but since he didn't show you thought he should youwent hunting.

My guess is:
The other guy probably thought he had exclusive rights. Pluss on 20 acres its pretty small. He was headed out for an evening hunt expecting noone to be tromping around on it scaring anything on it off. If he got an threw a fit with the landowner then he sounds pretty petty. If I read right its the landowners boss. If so he's probably got no spine when it comes to his boss even outside of work and on his own property. So this guy probably let him have it just as if they were at work (I expect he's realy trying to kiss up to his boss) So he passes on the favor and cuts into Grandpa.

If this is the case I'd have a hard time going back. I don't take being talked to like that to well. 20 years or not I would have problems if I thought it could happen again. Now if I talked to the landowner and knew it would not happen again then I probably would go back. It just all depends how much you trust the guy. I'd also aprecieate knowing when and if anyone else would be on the property so no confusion happens again. If it takes giving my phone number out to others with permission to hunt. Also I would make it known to the landowner to let everyone known that I may be there etc.

I'm sure there is much more to the story we arent getting. And don't take offence to people commenting on your typing. Most people want to help butyour lack of punctuation makes it very confusing. It may have made sense to you when typing but it is hard to reread for anyone else. Just take your time and try to get eachpunctuation in there as best you can.

Hmmm.....

Me and grandpa are at his friend'sland hunting for a fews days. Grandpa's looked after and worked the land for the owner for 20 years.

Friend tells grandpa his boss is showing up at noon so we can clear out for the owners boss to hunt.

Boss doesn't show up, so we decide to hunt.

Boss shows up at 5pm, sees our truck and leaves.

Land owner calls grandpa and tosses us off his land because we weren't gone when his boss arrived 5hrs later than he was supposed to.

Land owner calls grandpa two weeks later and invites us back because "He misses us."

What should we do?

Landowner's boss has more pull with him than grandpa. Chances are the boss has just started hunting the land in the past couple years, if not this year. He's reaping the benefits of your grandpa's labor. Wanting the feeders back should be a major hint here. No feeders, no deer, no boss, no easy job. Your grandpa is being used by the landowner to score points with his boss and chances are the next time the boss wants to hunt you'll be booted again.

I think your right Beezer! I'd say the heck with them Unless he's going to tell his a-hole boss he can't hunt there, otherwise I'd be done with it.

jason lester stated it very well another thing i might add is that his boss just got kicked out of a place called camp willis or something like that...so now i think he wants to come over to where we hunt cuz he doesnt have to put in as much labor as he did at the other place......like beezer said dont go back rite but the owner also said that he'll retire this year to make us still go..this is a long time friend of my grandpas an they consider themselves brothers or use to....

the best thing i could do is get my own place but thats pretty hard when your only 16

As a lawn owner I really appreicate those who help takecare of my land with a reward of allowing them to hunt as i do, anytime I want. You Grand pa's friend has no backbone and tell him where to go. You guys can lease land with less headache that this. And reap your rewards for your hard work. Not someone else reaping it.

If he gave youthe right to hunt the property if you kept the property mantained. The other man had it leased from the man that gave you the right to hunt it. I would say that that is between the leasee an the leaser. As for the man apoligizing that is all fine, but I would ask the man thatowns the property to explain to the person that is leasing it that ya get to hunt it from time to time because you mantain the property as long as you do not interfer with theperson that is leasing the property. Just my thoughts.

But, if the could not come to an agreement would find somewhere else to hunt before next season.

i follow you kid...but if you were suppose to leave at noon (or when he got there) you should have stopped hunting at noon.....if the other guy had hunting permission from noon on then i can see why he got mad.....or did i misunderstand??
