With my compounds, I anchor my thumb just behind the corner of my mouth. With my recurves and long bows, I anchor my index finger on the corner of my mouth.

Not all the noise is the bow,the target is only 6 feet away.
The rest of the noise is coming from the quiver that doesn't have any foam or arrows in it.Plus it is magnified in the garage.

I couldn't tell ya how I do it, either......but it's only noticeable to me when it's wrong.
