i will generally call it a day at zero... I'm a sledder, I've ridden in -30°F temps for an entire day up in da UP, but i'm moving around and able to get off the sled occasionally to go inside to warm up... sitting still? zero is about as far as I'll go...
but I'll agree with what LIAF says about the high humidity low temps in AL... a 20-30°F day down there is bone chilling compared to -10 or so up nort as it is nice and dry...

I can't say I've ever been stopped by the cold, and it'll be below zero here, without the high Kansas wind to add to it. You just have to have the right gear to go out in it.
