Anyone out there still waiting to bag there big buck?
I have shot a couple bucks with by rifle, but I am still waiting to bag a bug buck with a bow. Had a chance to shoot a nice 10 point, but didn't get a clear shot, so I didn't take it.
Just wondering if there is anyone out there besides me.

I'm in that group, lol. . .this could be the first time in 3 years without a bow kill. I missed out on the big boy (12 pointer) I've been holding out for. Had himinside 20 yards twice this year and he never presented a shot! UNBELIEVABLE!!. . .Thanx to to trusty 12 guage, the freezer is full of doe. . but I still have untill Feb. 3 to put an arrow throughone, and yes, that little one picturedearlier might have to do!: )

Last weekend my 9 year old son and i were out and he was sitting below me on the ground next to my tree we herd some but i couldnt see if they were bucks or does just bodies about 40 yrds away. I am trying to get a clear look and my sons yells up to me dad shot him it is a big buck and that was the last we saw of the deer but again a great time in the woods passing on the tradition.

Just be careful everyone who is hunting in the Northern states. The last week of December here in Minnesota I talked with 2 different guys who went to drag there buck out and pulled the one side of the bucks antlers right off, that would freak me out!

No bucks for me this season. In the past two weeks I've seen only 2 bucks(non-shooters) and a ton of does. I'm thinkin the buck-doe ration is wayyyyy out of whack.

Going into the 1st season of deer hunting around here (or is it the 4th)
1st season planting/prepping/repairing
2nd season scouting
3rd season hunting
4th shed hunting
So no more chances to take a poke at one ofthem bucks by us.
Now instead of competing with the neighbors for tagging a big buck, we compete with the squirrels and other antler eating critters for the chance of finding what we had been watching all season long, and a chance to see them up close.
