Default Walmart.com vs. Cabelas.com

WARNING: Insanely dumb poll. Proceed with caution.

Okay, follows is a strictly hypothetical question. Imagine the two following scenarios:
[ol][*]You have a Walmart.com gift card (with no limit) - and you HAVE to buy ALL of your hunting gear from Wallyworld online.[*]You have a Cabelas.com gift card (also with no limit) - and you're forced to get everything from Cabelas.[/ol]
Here's the question: Would having to shop exclusivelyat Walmart or Cabelas increase or decrease your chances at success? Why?

"All of your hunting gear" means EVERYTHING! Bow, Boots, Camo, Stand, etc...

Where is this going, you ask? I want to see howmuch you all think that "gear" actually impacts your success/failure in the field. Also, I wanted to seeif there is an actual perceived discrepancy in quality/effectiveness between"Walmart Gear" and "Cabelas Gear."

I feel that I would have a better chance with the Cabelas.com gift card, if I had to buy all my hunting gear. Having the best quality gear compared to the mid-range/lower quality gear wouldgive me a better chance. But it would be a "small" amount of better chance.

Whether it be, having warmer boots to stay in the stand longer, or better rain gear to be quieter and dryer... the advantages will add up.

Cabela's offers more products, so naturally I'd lean towards them. Never seen an adult bow at wal-mart. Or even a decent(at best) treestand.

But if you would compare say, insulated bibs vs. insulated bibs, or socks, or selection of grunt calls, or scents,...Like-items they both sell, my yearly results would probably be the same.

The nametag on my underwear don't mean nuttin.

This is a no brainer Cabelas is an outdoor outfitter. Walmart is a conveinient store. I'd go with Cabelas. Good luck rplacing or finding a new bow at Walmart

Unless I can eat it or wash with it, I won't buy it from Walmart. So I guess I'd be clean (good thing) but fat (not a good thing)

Walmart.com sells 2 adult compound bows: "Jackie Bushman Signature" bow and a Buckmasters BTR

So you guys do think that Cabelas would increase your odds. Why? What can you get at Cabelas that you can't get at Walmart that actually increases your chances?

Explain this: Walmart sells bows/treestands/outerwear/guns/optics - everything. But they DON'T sell hunting boots. What's up with that?

I could get to town on a Donkey, but I think I'll stick to my Silverado

Choice one
A store with a pile of cheap china crap

Choice two
A store with better cheap china crap

I will say this, this year I was 100% free of stuff made in China. The only thing I bough made out of the US was WII(Japan).

Joey - I agree 100%. While nothing in particular (other than boots) jumps out at me, it's a cumulative thing. Eventually, the one of those small benefits of better gear MIGHT actually translate into getting a buck that I otherwise would NOT have gotten.

You've gotta wonder, percentage-wise, how often "Better Gear" has ACTUALLY made the difference.

To be totally honest, I'd bet that more deer have fallen because ofthose little 50-cent disposable chemical handwarmers than any high-dollar hunting suits or $1000 bows - just because they're one of the rare items that actuallyenhance the average Joe's ability to stay on stand longer in cold weather. I know I owe a lot of deer to these babies.
