what kind do you use,metal or string. The metal would seem to me to make more noise when you clip it on but would last longer

Not sure about the metal ones, but have always used the camo colored string loops. Never had any problems with them. Not sure if the metal ones are a little heavier or not? I just really like the looks of the string loops anyways.

Metal ones can cause damage to your release.I have personally seen it.It wore a groove in the release and I actually watched the guy squeeze the trigger and the metal loop was hung on the release with the jaws open.[]This was a predicament to say the least.

The rope ones last a very long time,especially if you have a quality release.

i have used a metal one and in the winter time and it sucks!!!!! just to much noise at least thats me!! i have the a d-loop that camo and love it !!!!

My preference is string,if it is done in the right way it will last as long as your bow string.

go with the string loop less noisy and the metal loop will cut a little speed off your bow

String loop all the way. In the Technical section there's an excellent post at the top on how to tie your own. Kudos to Greg/Mo.

It sucks any time of the year. I used one for a very short time and it sucked. Made my bow loud as he!!. Like everybody else has said use the string loop.

The only useful application for the metal one is to use it to figure out where you want to permanently tie in your regular string loop.
