Fraley:
When I first wanted to get into trad....I posted a thread int he trad forum asking about a Hoyt Gamemaster recurve. I ended up with a longbow
.
I've never looked back. I'm extremely happy with my (stumbled-upon) choice...and I know it was right for ME. But....ask a lot of questions. What did it for me was the simplicity of the longbow.
It's "beautiful".![Wink](https://www.huntingnet.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Its a whole new way of bow hunting Fraley! Yardage is cut way down, patience and respect becomes one of your most important abilities to learn. That first animal you get will put you on cloud 9, its incredible! I beleive it made me a better bow hunter when I switched to traditional 15 years back. Good luck to you!

I grew up with recurves and have often thought about going back. One question, is there a huge difference between expensive and inexpensive bows in the recurve world?

I forgot to mention, ive had a few Martins and loved them. I use to shoot a mamba, which worked great until I ran over it two years ago. Thats when I went back to hunting with my old Herters.
