Why force the Xbow into a season intended for the bow and arrow?
I dont want to share my bow season with gun hunters either!
Does that make me a greedy person?
Taht above statement says it all ..... does it not

I dont want to share my bow season with gun hunters either!
IT is not just your personal season, it s a season for many people, just not yours alone ...... just shows that it is mostly greed on your part

I must say Grump, you do have a way of twisting words or peoples statements. Why can't you just take them for what they say. If they meant something else, they'd say it.

And no one sees a problem with that in the few short years its been in place? Good Lord whats it gonna look like in 10 more years when the kids that are being introduced into the archery season with the X Bow, you think their going to switch over to conventional archery equipment, most are so lazy now you cant lure their chubby little butts away from a game boy without a twinke in your hand!
I can tell you right now, if the rest of the States in this Country matched those # in Ohio,we would be having this chat over keeping gun hunters out of our Xbow season instead of talking about keeping X bows out of our archery season today.
Excellent post!!
it's been in place over 10 years I think

At this point, lets get kids into hunting
I know it has, and thenumbers get more displaced every year.
There are parts of the river that is fly fishing, catch and releaseonly, and this part of the river now has more and bigger fish than the rest of the river. I like to fish with the grand kids on this part of the river so I taught them to fly fish around the age of 5. There are those that do not want to take the time to learn to fly fish and try to change the law every year.

But what defines "Bow" season? Long and recurve only? Ceder shafts with glued points only? Why has the Compound been accepted as traditional and earned the label of heritage when my recurve crossbow was invented over a thousand years ago, well before the compound. As we all know comparing it to gun season is not the same, Gun hunters have a much larger success ratio, all most all people can play the 100 yard game. Getting a deer within the less then 30 to 20 yard mark is what sets archers apart from gun hunters. But your post points it out, you said MY season. You and I both know you could care less about what I hunt with, you just want your deer to be there for you and do not want to risk sharing it any more then you have to.

There was 3 lines in his statement and I included every word he used. How could I twist the words around.
The second line was plain and simple :
I dont want to share my bow season with gun hunters either!
How is twisting his words about that, I do not need to twist his words. He says that he does not want to share his bows season with gun hunters. Not your season, not our seasn, but he used the words MY SEASON.
