You forgot to say anything about 'gamesmanship.' Like shooting 2" high on a 35 yard shot that you judged for 37. Then turning from the stake and muttering under your breath -but just loud enough for the next guy to hear- "why did I shoot that for 35?"

If that were golf, Arthur.....you just got a penalty!

Good point, though.....is that "gamesmanship"....or is that against the rules?

The rule forbids 'discussing yardage.' It's not against the rules to be whispering to myself how bad I screwed up, now is it. And, besides, why would that next guy be so interested as to eavesdrop on my private conversation with myself? [8D]

I hear ya, Arthur.....but if you did something similar on the golf course (Dang...knew I shoulda hit a 9iron) loud enough for your fellow competitor to hear it.....and before he's hit his shot.

BAM! 2 strokes.

That's a great post Matt. While I don't shoot 3D and probably never will, there is a lot of information that can be usefull in hunting situations as well.

Thanks for the post.

Dang! You just gave away all my secrets!

... and I think that's pretty much how you typed it out when you originally gave them to me! [:-]

They would take your score card and disqualify you at any sanctioned event as well if range officials saw it. I personally and no one that competes to win takes this kind of stuff lightly...........

I've taken baby steps back from the target if I thought people were back at the stake counting my steps though.............[8D]. Nothing is funnier than hearing the arrows rattling off trees after pulling this move.
