One thing to think about too, where are you putting him. Of course that would determine left/right pose as well as what you want him to look like.
Here's my buck from last year, I wanted to show his rack like you speaking off, mostly cause he shrunk...LOL I think you have that in mind from your explaination. This was done on a McKenzie. I've never herd of Coombs but they look good but it's all in the taxidermist artistry to really make the difference. McKenzie comes out with new ones every year, some really show off the muscles which I like. I truly have no preference in manufacturers of forms, I could care less what's under the hide as long as it looks alive when it's on my wall. The second one is a McKenzie form that really shows off muscles.
And of course I expressed my anger at the post office via our PM's.

LOL, yes...I wanted to show off his rack.
Not sure of the mount model number, I'm pretty sure it's a semi-sneak head down right turn. It is a McKenzie mount last year so should be in the catalog.
Here's one, the very first one I mounted. He was crippled and I wanted to perserve his memorie. The ears are pinned back so they didn't "hide" his rack. This is not a semi sneak tho.

RE: A day of ups and downs...
Thanks, Rob. I'll look it up, shouldn't be difficult to find. I'll also see if Coombs has one similar, and which of the 2 looks better.
If anybody else has any ideas, I'm open to any and all...
