Default What's the oldest deer you've taken?

No guesses....aged by jawbone or by other means, professionally.

Reason I bring this up.....here's some of the answers I[m seeing on the Mathews board....and they're pretty remarkable.

What was the oldest deer that you shot that was actually aged by somebody that knows what they are doing? ( not just a rough guess) The oldest one that i shot was 10 1/2. kind of scrubby looking dark chocolate rack.
8 1/2 year old doe. Her teeth were worn down to the bone/gumline
9 1/2 12 pt. taken in Mexico this past Jan.
7 1/2 year old 10 point
9.5 year old doe

Another answered that his was a 9.5 yr old....and had this photo to accompany it. Is this deer 9.5 (in your opinions)?

I have NO EXPERIENCE WITH THIS STUFF>......just seems remarkable.

I've shot 3 that were 6 1/2+. It's hard for me to judge after this age.

I shot a 16 point non-typical 14 yrs ago, he had 2 drop tines, 2 kickers and was gnarly. The Taxi said he was 7.5 yrs old. I don't know for sure though.

My 8 point was aged at6 1/2 and he wasn't too impressive. Good rack, only 16 1/2" wide.
The one taken this year by 15 y/o Mikey was 18 1/2'' wide, 10 points, over 200lbs and he was aged at 4 1/2.

The oldest I've ever had aged was a grey faced 7 pointer with a crappy rack and they said he was 7 1/2.

Yeh, but the one I got you can't see the nasty stuff on, I have one in a frame, but I don't know how to get on here. The one on the far right is him.

Dan is fully trained and actually did contract work for DEC aging deer kills and road kills for a few years. He aged the rifle kill buck I shot last year at 3.5 years old. I've shot does that I know were MUCH older than him but never had them aged officially.
