Good luck, Greg.
jpov....again...great question. I keep a journal of each deer sighting I have throughout the season. I relay this information to my state wildlife biologist for this area....and he gives me a target # to take out. It started out this year at EIGHTEEN. The farmer to my south got a depredation permit and took out 10.....so we re-assessed and put my number at 8. We'll re-think the strategy after I give him my final numbers at the end of this season.

This year I set a goal to shoot a buck bigger than the one that will surpass the one that I have on my wall. Well the opportunity presented itself and I failed to close the deal thus far. Had a 170" deer standing directly in front of me and I shot over his back[:-]. I am glad though that I didn't hit him bad and have him run off but I still would've liked to close the deal. Still have alot of season left but now my goals are to get a buck 140 or better. My next goal is to buy a rangefinder in the off season
LOL.
