Default Missed My Chance-Now He's Dead

Let this be a lesson how critical it is to get IT DONE when you have the chance. I videoed this buck 9 days before gun season. 7 days before gun season I had my chance but misjudged distance. The arrow went right over him.
I got a call last night from my neighbor....this buck fell victim to his .270
Chances like this don't come very often. I vow to never let this happen again.

[:-]Man that stinks...remember, practice makes perfect(Almost in the deer woods). I found a long time ago that if you practice yardages and look at something, walk it off and see if you're right. After a while you will get really good and not have that problem again.

I would say that is a bit of a heartbreaker. Nice deer nonetheless.

Wow...nice buck...I practice from my tree stand and throw out tennis balls and then try to judge the distance...Of course I do not hunt with these arrows again but it does help with guessing yardage...

Bummer. Sorry to hear your miss. Neat rack. If they judge those drops as extension of the main beams, they'd be some of the longest I've seen!
