I love shooting guns. A lot of negitive things about gun season, but a chance to shoot a gun and not do it... something wrong with that IMO. Almost unamerican if you ask me.

Just shot my last buck Sat. and its been gun season here since the first of Nov.. I usually will not put my bow down. Its been several years since ive shot an animal with a rifle.

I don't gun hunt (Deer)in my home State of Ohio. Thats strictly Bow.
I spend the Rifle season in PA at our family Camp with friends and relatives. This year I'll be carrying a .50 Cal inline.

I don't discriminate .... I am a legal law-abiding Sportsman.

NY Bowhunter

It's the bow for me throughout all deer seasons here in NY. I get some strange looks from my buddies come shotgun season [8D].

I get the same strange looks....... There have been at least 5 different really nice bucks within 50 yards of me this year, well within gun range, but, there I sit with my bow.

I should probably take the 12 up the tree with me for this holiday weekend but, my bow will be there as well. If I get one that hangs out 50-60 yards I will have an option. I have not hunted deer with a gun since '94.

The last time I rifle hunted wasfive years ago, when I was 15. That rifle season I shot a doe, dropped her in her tracks, and did not feel excited at all. This really uspet me and I didn't know why. I've bowhunted/shot bow since I was thirteen and have killed nine deer, with archery tackle. No matter what I shoot a rush comes over me and I litterally need to sit down. That is why I stopped rifle hunting (because after a few kills, I didn't get that rush) and I have a feeling if I loose that with bow hunting (I'm sure I never will) I won't partake in that either.

I do however love my browning Citori O/U and shooting some roosters!
