Evening hunt with lot's of wind, and I mean 30-40 mph gusts. I'm set up on the edge of a swamp, not really expecting to see anything due to the wind. Lo and behold a nice size doe comes out and gives me a decent shot and I proceed to miss, due most likely to my tree swaying and having a little case of the jitters:-))) She has no idea she'd been shot at and just stood there. I managed to get another arrow nocked and let another one go which also just barely misses the mark. This time she senses something's amiss and trots off. Well now I'm really cheesed off having had two shots at the same deer and missing them both:-(( Not 10 minutes later I catch movement to my left and all I could see at the time was a "RACK". I thanked GOD for giving me one more opportunity, and he walked out in front of me approx. 25 yrds and I let him have it. I heard the arrow smash through a rib and he went about 60 yrds. and dropped. Nice quartering away shot with arrow getting up into the liver and lungs. A very quick humane kill, which makes me feel good!!!! Good luck you all you guy's!!!!
