Why is it always like that?
I took a good 8 pointer yesterday evening with a muzzelloader (because my son was going with me and these bow stands are 1 seaters).
I didn't even make it to any stand. Had to back up in the woods and just stand there. I passed on 3 does......2 more does........a spike.......a 4 pointer........then this nice 8 comes out...30 dang yards away!!!!!!!!!
If I had stuck to my plan and took my bow like I should have, that would have been the nicest one with my bow yet. But if I took my bow I would bet he would have came out 60 yds away.
Good news is I don't care about getting anymore deer this year so I will have my bow in hand from now on except 2 more times that I know of.
Oh and NYbowhunter.....Mikey's8 pointer came from "your" stand down here. It'll score between 120 and 125.
