Big Bucks luck or skill?

RE: Big Bucks luck or skill?
I think JV has hit the nail on the head. I missed a deer tues. of last week that would have been my biggest to date (130+ all day) and a very respectable deer for where I live. Over the course of a season I pass on dozens of 115" deer, which in other parts of the country (Iowa, Kansas, Illinois) would most likely be the equivalent of passing on 130s. Luck will always play a part when persuing a living animal that has a brain and can do whatever it wants whenever it wants for no reason whatsoever. But, if you consistently put down deer that are above average for your area, then there is definitely more skill involved than there is luck. I also get to hunt almost everyday so that doesn't hurt either.

Remember that big is a very relative term and can hold far different value if you are in Northern Minnesota, or if you are in Central Florida.

Gmmat a big buck is different sizes in all states I am saying a trophy buck taken in your area. It could be a 110 in eight point in FL or a 165 in ILL the 110 in Fl would be just as hard to kill I am saying a trophy buck for your area. You know that there are guys all over the USA that kill big bucks year after year no matter where it is
