Magnus stinger blood trails?
I switched from Thunderheads to Magnus 4 blade Stingers this year. Love the flight and I have taken an elk, a doe, and a buck with them and all have dropped in relatively short distances. I cant argue with that at all, but what I am dissapointed in is the blood trails they leave. The elk was straight through the liver, the doe quatering away, steep angle and got the liver and 1 lung and the buck was the top of the heart. All 3 of the animals left a verysparce blood trail. Even the heart shot which was low entrance and exit left just drops of blood and took some searching to follow it.
Have other users had these same experiences, what gives with the poor blood trails? Love the head so far, but if I have apoor shot and need a blood trail to follow, I'm kind of concerned that its not going to be there.

I agree with that, I love the heads as far as flight, blade sharpness and overall performance. As far as the blood trails were concerned, there really weren't any. I think I took 6 or 7 deer with those heads and not one of them left a blood trail anywhere near what some of the other heads on the market have done. Of course, with a good shot it doesn't really matter, but a less than perfect shot would concern me. Personally I switched to slick tricks and haven't looked back.

Purple,
I have shot two deer with the stingers and the blood trail was sparse on both. However both of them dropped in sight as well so I really didn't need a blood trial. I shot both from the ground and mine were kind of high hits so I figured that was the cause.

I dont use them but, I use muzzys and the 5 point I shot this year was a complete pass thru on both lungs and came out his leg and I had NO blood, at all. I was glad he only ran 40 yards and I watched him drop. But the doe I shot 2 years ago almost the same shot left a solid blood trail and droped 40 yards later also.

I have noticed the same thing. The only thing I have ever shot with them that left a good trail was a hog I shot dead through the heart. That blood trail was good, but it only went 20 yards so I didn't need it. Go figure.
