Congrats again atlasman. That was indeed a lllooonnggg but good story. Amazing animals is an understatement when relating to the whitetail deer. Kudos for doing the right thing and waiting to go after him. Too many people wouldn't have waited and possibly loosing the deer.

I can see how your story, recovery could be a very happy but somber one.

Atlas, congrats on the buck buddy. Good job on holding off on going after him and doing what you knew was right. I can't believe that old warrior lasted that long. It's almost like he was waiting to make sure you found him before expiring. As Hannibal from the A-Team used to say "I love it when a plan comes together."

Congratulations Atlas. Man, what a story. It is funny how Buck Fever can show up even when things are so rehearsed in our minds. Kinda freaks me out at times.

Oh and by the way. No wonder your posts are like they are. I thought you were a lot younger. You could probably join the COF (Crotchety Old Farts club) at your age. You are an old man. LOL Just kidding Atlas. And again, Caongrats.
