I don't like what Barta does. It's an opinion. For a guy who preaches about getting out and getting things done yourself "The hard way", He certainly relies on enough people to do the actual scouting/hunting for him

Ive seen that episode on Vesrus twice. I mean, its just Tred !
He's doing the unusual, the hard way.
I wont be "booking" that hunt anytime soon. Its not as easy as they made it look, apparently, and Tred usually doesnt make anything look easy. However, on a farm managed for pig hunting, Id opt to hunt with a bow, or, even a muzzleloader/slug gun well before a knife. It does have its risks and challenges, but like you said, a tad cheesey.
I do enjoy watching Treds show. He is an excellent, traditional, woodsman/bowhunter. He tells it like it is and has taken some serious animals from under 10yards away that most people couldnt get to within 30yards. His tactics = Not mine !
Give the guy some credit. It is the HARD way, the BARTA way !!

I saw it too and couldn't believe it. That was one of the saddest "hunting" video's ever made. They chased that pig with the dogs, had a bunch of guys tackle the little pig, hold it still so Tred could stab it. The pig had no chance and the only danger anyone was in was from Tred swinging that knife.
The first of Treds shows I watched I thought, cool, a traditional bow, maybe I can learn something. Then I watched him flinging arrows all over the place at carabou, first bunch of shots were'nt even close. If he can't hit the animal, how's he going to hit the vitals of that animal? If I was his guide on that hunt, he would have been done hunting on the 2nd shot. Flinging arrows blindly at 40-60 yards isn't the hard way. Shoot enough arrows, eventually you'll get lucky and hit something. The hard way, is getting close enough for a shot you can't miss.
I watched the 2 shows and have a fairly low opinion of him based on the 2 shows of his I've seen.
