I don't think anyone is saying if you have to work the next day don't hunt, I will not hunt if I know their is something I can't get out of the next day, If I have to work the next day i will hunt, but not if I have an oblifgation i can no way get out of.I hope you find your deer, good luck. i am hardly the ethics police,probably the opposite if anything

The best thing you did is not to track that buck. If it is cold, going out at 3pm tomorrow is perfectly acceptable. If it is not cold, I would go back out around 11 pm tonight and start looking...if you get a bad feeling about something...mark the last place you found blood and leave. Come back tomorrow. The deer will die if you hit it where you described and found dark red blood 100 yards from the shot...hopefully it is cold and the buck will bed down and die within another 100 yards or so. YOU WILL find him if you take it slow.

What cracks me up is some of the police are not even employed and don't even have a job yet, but giving advise on a person needs to blow off thier job, (the thing that takes care of thier family and feeds them) cause they owe it to the deer. Just freakin hilarious.

I had a job once ,didn't think much of it. Took up to much of my free time.
