My trail camera contest - **Updated 11/12**
So this past weekend I bought aMoultrie D-40 trail camera to get in the woods on my place and help identify what's running around out there. I found the most perfect pinch point for a camera on our neighbors property that I have been given exclusive permission to hunt on.
This pinch point consists of an old road bed (50+ years old), that is the only spot you can physically cross a 150 yard long hollow that seperates some VERY thick bedding cover (polluted with rubs every where and also has 4-5 resident mature does + fawnsin a family group) from the largest food source on a 500 acre patch that includes apples, alfalfa, and one of my food plots. Below is an aerial picture showing the location of the camera (red), as well as my one of my food plots (green).
So this is the contest............
I have 5 GoldTip 30X Pro indoor target arrows that I will be giving away to anyone that guesses the exact number of points on the largest buck I get this week on that camera ($120ish a dozen new normally). I'm pretty confident that we will get pictures of something with horns on this camera, as in years past we have seen on the cameras that this property produces a LOT of bucks cruising during the week of Halloween. I will be pulling the card on the camera exactly one week from today when we get to PA for the trip next week, and I have internet access from camp now so I will be able to post pics and announce who won sometime during mid week.
The arrows are currently cut long enough for roughly a 29.5" draw length, however I can cut shorter if needed and get them setup and ready to shoot. They are currently setupwith 4" flo orange bohning low profile vanes, and 150 grain GoldTip glue in target points. These are in my opinion one of the best indoor spots target arrows on the market today and I shot many good games with this set in particular, however my coach has lengthened my draw length out to where these won't work for me now. I will pay all shipping.
If for some reason the winner doesn't want the arrows, I will sell them elsewhereand donate the $$$ in their name to whatever charity Justin chooses in the following thread.
