Hey guys, not sure if you can see in these photos very well or not, but both (or all four depending on how you look at it) of my limbs are cracked on my Vectrix. I called the shop where I got the bow and they're going to replace them tomorrow. All four cracks are in the exact same place on each limb... kind of strange. The guy at my shop (whom I'm pretty good friends with) said this is the first set of limbs that he's had to replace for Hoyt in 2 years.

For those of you who are familiar with what happened last weekend, could this have had an effect? Anyway, just thought I would share! Make sure you check your stuff frequently!!

Well I would certainly think it could have. The bow will not shoot the same, the same energy wouldn't be transferred out of the limb.....or that's what logic tells me anyway.....

Yours is the first I've seen as well......Hoyt will take care of you though.

That's kind of what I though, but I don't want to make any excuses for sure. Hoyt has been EXTREMELY fast and easy to deal with. Less than a a week turnaround on the new limbs.

What happened to cause all 4 to crack lke this?

Those limbs look to have hyperextended somehow.


Had that happen when a string broke on a bow a few years back but the limbs were the old Redlines and they did pretty much the same thing.

I have absolutely no idea, since I don't have any kids or a wife... my bow is my baby. The top limbs are worse than the bottom two, but seriously have no idea and it happened since last wednesday. The only time I shot it was last friday night...

Splinterd limbs are one thing but this is rare for sure.

Oh no, no accusations taken. I've never had anything that was even close to out of the ordinary with this bow. Never been dropped, transported out of the case... nothin'. It's never been out of my posession either, there's actually only about 3 people that have shot it, including me. That's why I'm so dumb founded as well.

Have you checked to see if it is actually limb or is itthe camo film dip that is cracked? Just a thought.
