I have put my trailcam over a couple scrapes in the past that were amazing....you could smell them 50 yards downwind, deer probably could smell them a mile away...I think 15 or so different bucks on a 36 exposureroll of film (approxamately 3-5 days). The most mature bucks I have gotten pics of was 3 at one scrape.
Some day when I am bored I will have to scan a few of those pics....

lol i have hunted them morning and night but not mid day. Im sure the trail cam will tell when they are working it, if theres a buck there in the mornin or a night im gonna be ticked though haha. Ive since gave up hunting that particular area and found new spots that have been much more productive for me!

Once the seek+chase phase gets in full swing im sure i'll do a few all day sits, maybe one of them should be on this scrape. You try it on one too, Germ, then we can write a book or something....haha![](https://www.huntingnet.com/forum/upfiles/smiley/barmy.gif)

I shot the 4th different buck I'd seenworking an active scrape this year. I only hunted it for 4 hours total. 2 hours for 2 sits (2 evenings, one week apart). Granted, 3 of the 4 bucks were really small. The one I shot was no monster either, but was probably one of thetop-end deer on the property.

I've got one at a stand of mine...or should I have a stand at one that gets almost 10' in diameter. I've hung my trail cam there for weeks at a time. I'd estimate at least 10 different bucks visiting commonly. Probably on an average 4-5 mature 3++ year old bucks. I've had several pictures and sightings morning and evening, but never between say 10 and 3.
The 24th and 25th of Oct seem to be my most consistent for daylight pics of the BIG ones. Wonder where I'll be tomorrow morning...hmmmm.
