farmcntry-
I live in Jonesville. I worked at westinghouse in Rural Hall for awhile, used to drive through East Bend down Hwy 67 to get there. Still go to the East Bend Motocross track some.

Well I'm not in NC....SC here.

I am VERY VERY confused.

Some say they are ruttin', but I've seen several does in the past two weeks and haven't seen a buck on their trail yet.

They are still freshening up scrapes on a nightly basis so it won't be long, but I don't think they are quite ready where I'm hunting.
Where are you at inSC? I was born in Florence. My family has a nice farm there and most of my family is in the Darlington/Florence area.

Noticing a lot of sign in the woods here. I have seen several bucks killed by friends, sadly none of my own, that had swollen necks and smelly tarsals. I'd say the next two weeks should be prime here. W desperately need some rain though. (onslow county)

yeah jorden lake is about 6ft low. the lowest i can remember it is 8ft about 6 years ago. it stayed low just about all winter. its kind of nice to be alittle low, makes it easy to get to other places and catch the deer coming out for water.

It looks like we might get some rain here in the next couple of days.

Tommy-
Do you hunt in the game lands right by the lake?

Anyone want to join me in a discussion with local deer hunters and district 7's wildlife biologist? It's at Surry Communtiy College on a weeknight.
He said I could bring along 1 other avid deer hunter. Anyone interested shoot me and e-mail and I'll give you the exact date and time.
It's next week. I believe on the 30th.

we got some privite land, but i do hunt the gameland quite a bit. theres a few spots thats land locked by our land so the only way for somebody else in is by boat. im huntin a fairly nice one on gameland now i think. nice sized rubs in a perfect line with scrapes, just waitin for the wind to get right.

do you live near jorden lake?
