Default Washing clothes

I was talking to some older guys and getting ready to hunt came up. One of the guys said washing your gear and clothes in baking soda would eliminate odors does anyone else know about this?

Yes it will, but I come to find out years ago that it will fade the camo out. So a good thing to do is, use some baking soda with 1/2 of whatever hunting clothes detergent you will use

yep....i actually mix sport wash and baking soda...seems to work. the sport wash is nice because it doesnt have scent or uv brightners or anything..and its CHEAP. wash, line dry if possible, and your good to go!

Baking soda is "bicarbonate of soda", and carbon adsorbs odors. I'm too cheap to buy A&M, chemically speaking that 25 cent generic baking soda is the same. I use it both in the wash and the rinse. Yes, it can fade camo, but so does wear and time, I don't worry about it.
