RE: RAGE broadheads
there's a billion threads on them in this forum. they work real well but you have to watch those heads all the time. if you breath on those blades they will pop out of place (and then fly bad). otherwise, mine fly exactly like my field points. i have the 3 blade but I think the 2 blade are more popular.

I've shot them out to 50 yards and they hit dead on with my field points. I've also taken 2 deer with them this year, both with devastating results.
Bottom line, they are good.

I personally feel that anyone who has had flight problems, it's the user, not the broadheads...meaning they didn't properly check them when removing them from quivers and nocking them on their arrows. Everyone that I TRUST that used them, they are flawless...
I've used Rocky Mountain Snypers for 6 years now, same head only a 1/2" smaller and have had zero issues as long as they are set when taken out of the quiver and nocked. Of course the Snypers have the band but they do need proper seating as the Rage's do.

Ive noticed a slight difference in flight if the blades arent set in line with the cock vane. what I mean is I use the two blade, on my arrow the cock vane is vertical, when the blades are horizontal or at an angle they dont group well. I just make sure that they are vertical, and (no exaggeration) I shot a 2'' group (3 arrows) at 62 yds. Most likely luck, but I know where I was aiming and they all hit perfect. I also took a doe last thursday, she was 23 yds and with 2 small bucks within 40 yds I didnt try to stop her from grazing and slowly walking. I have practiced at moving targets, but didnt lead her enough and nicked the lung but got mostly gut shot. She only ran about 60-70 yds and piled up. These things are awesome, the only broadhead Ill ever use. Unless they come out with something even better. They're also very durable, I hit rib dead on and broadhead held up and I can shave with the blades. Could shoot another with it but probably wont. One broadhead per deer for me.

RE: RAGE broadheads
The other day I put a spine shot on a doe (she ducked extra low) so I grabbed a second arrow out of my quiver to finish her off and it just so happened to be a rage 2 blade with the blades dangling out of their ready position.
I fixed the blades and returned it to use a cheaper head to finish the job[8D].
Up until then the blade opening rumors were just that to me, not anymore. I'll still use them when I want, but will pay more attention to the blade location while in my quiver.
