Ok....i coudnt believe my eyes when i checked my cam today.....this is a blacktail and its HUMONGOUS!!!! i hope i can tag em this december and i am just curious what you think he'd score, what his spread is,how old he is, and how much he weighs???

Do you score a blacktail the same manner as a whitey. I wouldnt know.

If that's a Blacktail...WOW, your right, that's a trophy class as far as I understand it.

Scoring is the same however, if you look at the minimum requirement for book, Blacktail is less than whitetails. That should tell you what a good buck that one is.

I would have to guess about 130" It would be higher if he had better mass and some brow tines that counted (1' or longer) As far as weight and age I wouldnt have a Clue. It,s a great buck I know your excited. Do blacktails normally have split G2's like that?

Thats a nice lookin blackey, id say around 130", weight about 220 or so, ago im gunna say 4 1/2, big gut, big neck, really nice big developed antlers, big body, hes definitely a big mature buck. Good luck with him this year.

Id say 4-4 1/2 and 130-140 really great for a blacktail.
