Best Light
New to the forum and relatively new to bowhunting. Can anyone give me any advice on the best light to use going to my stand in the am long before first light. Better to use anormal (white) lightor a red light or does it even matter. Thanks!

Anything with good batteries although my favorite is the $3 garrity throw aways from the Depot or Wally World. At $3 each they are as tough as shoe leather and I don't have to worry about bulbs or batteries. Just buy a couple at a time and they are nice bright colors incase you lay them down in the leaves or such.
Not a big fan of the head lamps as I always find myself looking around instead of looking straight down at my feet. It's suprizing how often you can just turn the light off for a couple minutes at a time as you sneak.
As a side note I can't even use bright eyes anymore cause when you shine a light into the woods it looks like XMass there are SO MANY twinkling. Maybe I'm the only guy with that problem.
The red and green channel marker tape should make a bigdifference this year.

White light will harm your night vision when you get to your stand it will take a while to adjust. Red light on the other hand does not harm your night vision. Bottom line, use whatever you are comfortable with but understand what the side effects are.
