Ouch. I get to hunt tomorrow and Saturday regadless. My wife is off and driving me to the treestand. The cast is off but I cannot put weight on my foot so I'm at the mercy of the crutches for a short while more. It's tough to fight the weeds. She'll take me in, I'll walk out.

The last I saw our temp for Monday was, well let me check quick.

Well 80 through Monday, 60 on Wed. Kurt's coming Tuesday night and hunting Wed and Thur....might be the ticket with that front.

I checked the 10 day forecast this past Sunday for this coming Monday and the predicted High was 77 and the low was 52...but NOW, the predicted High for Monday is 91 and the Low is 71. Do they enjoy giving me false hope???

I hate Louisiana [:@]

Bubbahoo,

Same area, same disappointment. That tropical storm from the south came in and is cancelling out that
"cold front" from the NW. The predicted low has now gone up by almost 20 #%#%# degrees this weekend.

We got skunked this week between 3 hunters, which is rare, I think the 90 + degree afternoons might
have something to do with it. More of the same this weekend. [:@]

As they say, "the switch hasn't been flipped yet."

I'm reeeeeeaaaallly leaning towards hanging a stand over a pond for Saturday night in West Central, IL. Preferrably out of the sun. It's gonna be brutal!

I have a pond option too....never hunted it. I may have to forego the "new" land this weekend. I sure don't wanna go stinking the place up!

Every time I check the forcast, it's gone up another degree or two. To make matters worse, every time they've forcast rain, it breaks up before it gets here and we're NONE DRY around here. I'm sure we'll eventually get rain though - it usually manages to do that when I take vacation for ruthunting!
