Whats your "record" for sits without having a deer in bow range?

In '06 it was 4, for me. Other than that....2 was the most.

So far in '07.....I've gone 2 sits in one stretch......3 sits in 2 more stretches.....and I've gone the last 4 sits without having one in range.

How is it where you hunt?

This morning I broke a streak of 3 sits with no sightings. That is the most I can recall for some time.

You know it's gonna get better, though, buck.

I've seen 15 deer (8 and 7, respectively, in the snd and 3rd sits).....but had none of them in range (for the record....I'd bet 7 of them were the same deer).

WOW, DC......I can't imagine that. Only hunting (deer) I've ever done is where I hunt, now.....but I can't imagine being that patient. Kudos....and I hope it ended on a good note!

Haha, last archery season on gamelands. That would be30 days, not sure how many sits. Got a shot the first day then shot my buck on Halloween. Then shot another doe after that.

oh man I have never kept track but its got to be in the 20+ range.. during early archery season..I had two little bucks under my stands this month thats it.. Never saw one doe near a stand until just the other day...

If I wanted to have deer pass by everyday I sure wouldnt be hunting specific bucks and my stands would be placed in completely different locations for early and late seasons.. during the rut, I see deer almost daily since my stand are set up on the doe family routes. Late season I have deer walking by almost every day if I get over a foot of snow.... The snow levels really help congregate them during Dec.
