I couldn't read that without wanting to look ahead....and I already knew the outcome.

Matt....that's world-class, buddy. Congratulations. I'll say it, again......

You did EVERYTHING "right".

It's your day/week/year.

Wow Matt! great story and a great deer. Sometimes them suckers have a way of hiding on you but your persistence paid off and you found him.

Congratulations on not only the kill but the recovery...well done!

This is one of the rare times in my life when I have been left speechless. What an amazing story and what a great deer.

Matt, congrats once again. Many hunters can learn from your experience not to give up and keep the hope alive. It is wonderful you had friends willing to put in the time and even take time off of work to help you out. Things like that shows a true friend.

Matt, words cannot possibly do justice to what you've been through, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing that story with us. There are SO many lessons to be learned from your story, and I think if I were to sum it up in a single word; PERSISTANCE.

I have never, ever, ever heard of such persistance, and to say that it speaks volumes of you and your character; well, that makes me proud to be in the company of the likes of you.

I am SUPER glad your injury wasn't worse, and I'm glad Frank's wasn't worse as well. What a story, and congratulations just simply doesn't seem like enough, but it's all I've got. Well done bud. Well done.

I'm with you, Mobo.....only my word was "Perseverance". That's honestly what came to mind when I was reading. They both "fit".

Just a great story......

Great story! I got chocked up reading it. It is nice to see someone keep after a deer with no sign. Respect!!

Nicely done Matt. The story was most definitely worth the wait. Though it may sound cheesy you get an "A" for effort. I have yet to meet anyone who went to the extent you did in looking for that buck. The sense of accomplishment not just for using a traditional bow but also from finding it after such an exhaustive search must have truly been great.

Nicely done indeed.
