Amen brother!! '07 IS looking up! (I just found out I got drawn for a VERY limited hunt on a wildlife refuge in Illinois... they only do an archery hunt every two years, and there's some absolute slammers taken during this hunt!)

'06was probably my best season to date. I killed a doe on opening day here in IL, a 130" buck on Oct 19th, a coyote on Oct 22nd, a doe in WI on Oct 27th, and another buck here in IL on Nov 19th. Although I didn't see as many deer, or as many big deer, as I have in the past, I put more animals on the ground than ever before and probably had more fun doing it. And to top that all off, I made awesome shots on all of those animals last fall. Not one of them made it over 100 yards, most of them falling within 50.

I haven't even been in a stand with a bow in my hand yet this fall, so I'd say I'm not on track for this fall's goals quite yet. That starts this weekend.

2006 - I met and exceeded my goals for the season

2007 - I am off to a great start. Its going to be very tough to top my year last year, but that is my HOPES this year. MyGOAL this year however, is to harvest two mature bucks here in Missouri (I have the opportunity to kill 4 bucks)

'06 was BY FAR my best season to date, but I didn't quite manage my goals. I didn't get my first archery buck and was pretty disappointed. On the positive side of things though, I killed multiple deer w/ archery tackle, and could have killed on NEARLY every hunt. I see deer w/in bow range just about everytime I hunt, and that's a real positive in my world.

I saw more bucks last year than the previous 2 combined, so I'm making progress and doing at least some things right.

I've only hunted 2 days this year so far, and once again, could have killed deer on both of those hunts. I'm putting myself in position to succeed anyway, it'll happen.

KILLED 130" 9pt and 150" 10pt in '06 and lots of does. Just another good season. This year could be slow due to eye injury. I have to see them to kill'em. Guess you can't have a good year every year.

I had a good year last year.

Hopefully this year will be a good one too.

'06 was pretty good for me also. Two days after thanksgiving i took my first buck, a four-point. And on Christmas Evei took a mature buck in MS. Altogether '06 was a pretty good season for me.

Any time I get to hunt makes it a good year for me. I set no goals for myself other than just to go out an enjoy the outdoors. IfI kill a deer or two along the way it's fine but I don't use that as a guide to whether I've have a good year or not. Last year I killed a lot of deer, the year before that, not so many, this year...only time will tell. either way it will be a good year.
