Default I might be crazy but the view is beatuiful.

My thoughts:

http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=2345494

My outcome:

Okay guys, I really really, appreciate your concerns. I do. Today was the trial run. Kurt and I headed out and hung the stand. We took the double rung ladder sticks, 3 section and the individual sections. We first hung the 15' sticks and Kurt fastened them tight. I tested a few rungs...yup, this is doable. After fastening just the 15' sections we determined we didn't need the others. There is perfect branches all over to continue up and around the tree to the platform. As Kurt fussed with the stand I made my way up, swung around the tree and helped him. Once done I was sitting on my platform as Kurt sat on the tree branches around the tree and MAN WAS THE VIEW BEAUTIFUL!

Remember, this is a huge Pin Oak with branches to the ground. The upper branches where the stand is can hold an elephant. No issue there.

I got down just as easy. In reality, my left leg/foot never comes into play. Going up the sticks I can use my knee and good leg and arms.

Once I top the ladder stick, it's limbs with my butt and good legs. The reality is, it's very easy up and down. I'm really excited guys. At first we could only hunt the morning, now we can hunt both the morning and evening.

To top if off, Kurt can drive me to within 10 yards of my stand, back out and park then head to the stand we hung over the plot last month.

OF course the safety strap is packed and ready to go. I'll take photos of the whole set but here it is last year as we trimmed it out. Remember, this is the stand I took my buck from last year.

This shows the setup too from when I was sitting out watching my landowner during rifle season.

This will be my view tomorrow morn.

Hey Rob, good luck in the morning. I know how you feel, I missed out on my first ever Spring Turkey hunt this year becouse I had surgery the week before the season opened. I dont think you need to be told by any of us, but I will say it anyways, JUST BE CAREFUL!! And most of all, have a great time.

Rob you're a nut. Good luck in the morning. Have fun and enjoy it. Don't hurt yourself. I sure wish I didn't have to wait until monday.
