My release stinks!
Out shooting tonight I did a smell check on the strap. PEEEEEYEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! With the opener on Saturday I knew it might be time to wash the strap. So even though I probably will hunt with my recurve Saturday morning I may just need an odor free release on Sunday morning.
So a reminder guys, don't overlook the little things when it comes to scent control!

good reminder. guys often overlook the little things. everything in my pack gets sprayed...
last year one day i had a mature doe and a fawn come in feeding. doe fed DIRECTLY below my stand. OK leather boots, tree i hunted with a climber 20x and walked around the base 100x and spit and peed down there...im busted...WRONG. she didnt care. for all i know she was lickin my spit. couldnt see because she was REALLY under my stand at the base of my tree. i peeked over and she felt my pull up rope hit her back. for some reason i never pulled it up that hunt and left it hang. after it touched her, she sniffed it. tail went up and she jumped back a few feet. looked around puzzled but went back to feeding. i never sprayed that rope. never thought of it. dont know why i didnt pull it up like i always do...but i learned EVERYTHING needs to be scent free....
