Hey tm, don't waste your time on the ATA show, but keep your eye out for the AMO show ;-).Why is this new BT daully makeing such a stink ?.

2 cams, twice as many tunning issues.Time this time that, bla, bla, bla.
Single cam bows are still a better choice, I'll bet.

It will be interesting to see if this new &quot;ATA&quot; (Archery Trade Association) name will stick. Why you ask? Unless I have missed my guess the American Trap Association (ATA) should have those initials under lock and key. They have been around since before I can remember. It will be interesting to see what happens. Surely it was thoroughly searched out before those intitials were tacked on. <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>

Droptines,

A few reasons the DC Pat is making a big stink.

1) With cables and string manufacturing being so much better than it was back when dualleys were the thing, dual cams will stay in tune much better.

2) The DC Pat will (eventually) be equiped with cable tuners that will, if neccessary make tuning very simple.

3) The DC Pat shoots over 20 fps faster than any other bow of comparable brace height. It is huge jump from the rest of the pack.

Boy, maybe I should have supplied boxing gloves with this topic. Just kidding guys, this is the kind of responses I was wanting. I am wanting to hear all sides. Hey Ausie, tell me how forgiving youre dc seems to be. I am very interested in what Matthews is going to have this year, but I am not going to rule out the Bowtechs. One thing Bowtech did that I dont care for so much is that streamline grip. That was the main reason for me getting away from my Cyber-Tech, But to each his own . hotload

I was in the market for a new bow this past summer. I bought a bowtech. I loved the bow, it was lightning fast and very smooth. However, it was not forgiving at all. I'm now shooting a Legacy and absolutely love it. Speed wise, there is no comparison, the bowtech wins hands down, but in forgiveness I've got to give the edge to the Legacy.

With the extra 1/2&quot; they have added to the brace height on the dually it is very forgiving mine measures 7 5/8&quot;.

Belle Island what was the brace height on the bowtech? Short braced bows will not be all that forgiving. Because if you don't have perfect form and or when hunting your clothes on the arm part is puffy and it makes contact with the string it will mess up the flight of the arrow.I've shot pretty much the whole line since my brother-in law sells them,he can't keep them in the store.and with the shorter brace bows I had a problem&quot;string slap every time&quot;.So I went with the patriot s.c. If you want, smooth, speed, and forgiveness,go with the Bowtech. Mathews is a great bow,Thats what we all shot before the bowtechs. But with my set up The mathews was at 240 to 242 fps.w Bowtech 278 to 280 fps.with that much of a diffrence, its a no brainer not to switch over.that's probably why your Legacy seems more forgiving longer brace height, but I'll bet it's alot slower then the bowtechs with the same brace as what you have now.

I was shooting the Generation 3 and apparantly it has a low brace height, b/c it was slapping the Sh!t out of my arm. I never got to shoot the patriot, wish I could have but noone in my area had them in stock.

I agree about the legacy being slow. Mine seems like a turtle creeping along. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing its shooting around 250 fps. However, speed has never impressed me, I prefer a forgiving and quite set-up. The bowtechs are so fast I'm not sure I would be able to see where the arrow hit on a deer. I'm not bashing bowtech here, they are a great company and make top of the line bows. Just offering my opinions and experiences.
