do the lumenoks cut on by themselves by the string?or do you have to turn them on?

Yes, the pressure of the string pushing the arrow away form the riser turns them on. They stay lit until you turn them of! You just pull them out of the shaft a bit to turn them off

Tracer nocks hands down!!! I am very pleased with them! Mount the magnet on your riser, when the arrow goes by it turns on, After ten seconds it goes into a flash mode(I really like this feature)

I have showed my Tracer nocks to a buddy who had lumenocks and he didnt think twice about making the switch!!

tradtech...believe it or not, ive tried that. when i get the BHs to move, the FPs move with it...also tried moving the rest up and down...started from scratch twice...still always end up fps hitting 3-4 inches higher than the BHs...

dont know if i tried a FP with a tracer nock though....hmm

someone told me to take a crank off one of my limb bolts...i might have to try that on Sunday...id really like them to hit together.

last year i didnt have a problem...but this year somethings being finicky...am shooting different arrows and heads though...

BTW i will take my tracer nocks over lumenocks any day. get alot of mixed reviews on Lumenocks...heck, my tracer nocks come on pretty decintly reliable without the magnet! lol. i really like the tracer nocks...
