Default Teflon slides

I bought a teflon slide for my Gaurdian because of unusual wear on the factory slide. However, with the new slide there is only about 1/8 inch of clearance from the slide rod. I'm afraid of getting some cam lean with this slide. Any thoughts?

I just put a limbsaver slide on for more clearance and I havent had any issues on my tribute
