Default G5 vs Steel Force

I received my G5 broadhead in the mail Saturday and my first impression was...man this thing is small. Especially when I compare it to the Steel Force heads I'm currently using.

The G5 is the same size as the Steel Forces bleeder blade.

I don't know about you but I like the idea of BIGGER is better. I understand that the G5 flies just like a field point but isn't there more to it than that? I mean something has to be said about stopping power, brute force, width of cut, cutting surface, etc... I think in this case....size does matter.

I would like to know your thoughts on this. I don't want to wound an animal because the broadhead was not adequate. I know there are hunters out there who have taken big game with the G5...I've read the testimonals on the G5 website. But I want the true, unbiased stories from HNF hunters.

Thanks
Reid

I think the idea is a hole in the lungs is a hole in the lungs. You do bring up a good point, the same reason I shoot heavy arrows.

I wounded one pretty good with a striker this year , see my avitar or check my thread entitled , " Montana was good to me " , Id say they preform flawlessly getting a complete passthrough on an 800 pound elk , and sticking in the ground after , shooting 62 pounds and 28 inches , Im a believer .
