RE: Enough with the Ethics and Fair Chase babble
There's always people who want to tell others what to do.
Got the kids in hunters ed right now and have been sitting in. One of the guys leading it I know has been one of those guys who tried to set the world straight on how to hunt. He's grown some.
I don't really care. No one's forcing me to read or post anything.

I've never understood people who take it as a personal attack when someone else has a different way of doing things or even simply a differentbelief system. My Ford will take me to the woods and back just like your Chevy. My Drenalin is just as capable of harvesting deer as your Vectrix. Your Allah is just as precious to you as his Jesus or her Buddha is to them. As long as nobody has you in a concentration camp attempting toconvert orexpell you, leave'm be and get a life.

Ithink it is more of a "pressure thing" these days, pressure to impress our friends, family, and all of you fine folks here.
What I mean by this is that we all want to harvest a animal for different reasons, but there is that "self pride" that EVERYBODY has, EVERYBODY wants to hear the thanks, good job, and pats on the back from friends, family, and strangers. It gives re-assurance that we are good hunters, good sportsman etc. Therefore, I think there is this "pressure" to take an animal or ATTEMPT to take an animal even if the shot is not ideal.
And I am pretty sure that during the moment of the kill, NOBODY is thinking "Man, I hope everybody agrees with my shot placement, my hunting location, hunting set-up etc", the only thing that your thinking is adrinalin, and if your not, then you should pick another hobbey.

Hunt for YOU.
Hunt for YOU.
ethics allways come into play when i pick my shots, becuase i NEVER want to wound a dear. but others may think differently, and people who dont use ethics in bowhunting, are the reason for anti hunters...and that my friends is why we have DEM

I agree with - BowHuntingFool
I don't enter contests and such for the same reason- For me its about thehunt - and the freinds Ishare it with
However I do like to share pictures, and stories on-line. I'm not much to call other's hunting methods wrong (unless they are definitely illegal of course).
I don't agree with some of the hunting methods I see or read about - and may even be upset - but if its legal - I don't feel that I need to preach my ethics in an on-lne forumn.

Well I hunt for myself. Im not trying to impress anyone. But do I agree with a kid shooting a penned up buck-NO. Do I believe in ethics-YES. Ive always thought there is a code for hunters for hunting fair chase and ethics. Do I care how someone shoots a deer legally- No. Good for them. I guess I have a problem with deer being penned up. Will it change NO. But in all honesty how many hunters thought it was OK with Jimmy Houston shooting the penned up buck. They thought that was unethical. I guess my problem is with penned up animals being killed. But thats my opinion...
