07' Slick Tricks - wow these are scary sharp.......
So my plan for this year was to use the Rage 2 blades with the extra band as my primary head for almost everything this year, but because of 2 seperate spots on my property (one food plot, and a young stand of thick hemlocks) I decided that I would need another head for hunting out of the ground blind. After considerable time and many encounters last year in a blind I really feel the mesh windows are amust for deer, and I'm not comfortable with shooting a mechanical through mesh despite my turkey hunting incident this past spring.......[8D].
So after deciding to get afixed head tuned and hitting the same spot as my Rages, I decided why not try the package of 2x year old Slick Tricks I have sitting around. The plan was to use the old ones I already had to get things tuned, then buy a single pack of them to use brand new on the arrows I intend to use for hunting. The old pack I had was from the 05' season, and while they were very solid in build and design, they were not as scary sharpas some of the Rocky Mountain heads, and others I had seen in the past. They were acceptable at best, but not as sharp as I like. Well after opening the new pack of 07's last night to get them spun, weighed, and installed on the arrows I selected as "hunting" arrows................my goodness these 2007 Slick Tricks are darn near the sharpest thing I have seen out of the box.A very different critter than the blades they supplied 2 years ago. If you saw older ones and liked the design, but weren't impressed with sharpness out of the box, give them another look this year...........
I still think the Rage's will be my primary head this year but the plan is to be shooting several does (3-4 between NY and PA) and I will make sure to use one of these new heads on a doe to see what they do in person.......

I agree about how sharp they are. I bought some this year and found them to be sharper than anything i've ever bought. I've shot Muzzy 3 and 4 blade and mx4's, montec's and NAP's. The slick tricks are crazy sharp.

I agree Matt, very sharp this year. I have heads from the last three years, and this years are amazing. I just assembled mine, and my brother's as well, and they are the kind of sharp that will snag on your fingernail. Definitely a quality head!
