Like Rob/PA, I've had days where I saw 15 and many where I saw none.

But I would say on average, hunting morning and afternoon, I expect to see 1 or 2 deer.

Starting last Thanksgiving until today I've seen three deer while hunting. Two does last year, both 100yds or farther moving across the trails. And the spike buck I took Sunday. That's three deer in probably 50 outings and I got 1 out of three with my bow. Some days I sit in the stand from 5:30am until Noon, then come back out from 2:30/3pm until dark and see nothing. I could hunt elsewhere or move around if I chose, but most of the time I just enjoy the anticipation of a deer actually showing up. Two seasons, three deer and one kill.

last year it was around 5 deer per outing.4 years ago it was around 25 deer per outing.

I may go days without seeing any then I may see 5to 10 in one night and for a couple days straight.

Usually see a few out. Sometimes I got days without seeing anything. Most ever was 25 in the field at once.

I'd say my average in Parke co, IN is around 8 per day but I have seen 37 in one evening stand moving from a beding area to the fields from about 4:30 till 5:45 last year on the second weekend of gun season. On Sunday thislast weekendI was out scouting. Walked about 100yds. into a thicket from the edge of a corn field sat done behind a tree in an opening where 4 ravines came to a point and in 35 minutes had 17 deer come by within 40yards 4 being bucks. 1 Taker three smaller ones the rest was does.

Im lucky to see 2 deer every 5 trips into the woods..
So. deer hunting here isnt that great. Now dont get me wrong i have had good days and really bad days, but the bad outweighs the good were i hunt.

I probably average 3 deer per sit. Sometimes, as others have said, I'll see a bunchone day, and none the next. Last year on Nov 2nd, I saw 6 buck, all legal, but not a single doe. I thought that was strange.

Here in central NH most of the time none! It's a treat to see one!

I have to hunt pretty hard to see a deer. More often than not I don't see deer, but I've filled my tag 6 years in a row now.
