rubber boot problems
Greetings,
I have always used leather boots made by rocky or wolverine for hunting. Now that i'm getting back into bowhunting i'd like to use some rubber boots for scouting/hunting. The only problem I have is that w/ the rubber boots i've had in the past, (lacrosse) my socks start riding down when I walk more than a quarter mile. Anyone have any suggestions or the same problem asI do? I'd like to come up w/ a solution before I start duct taping my socks to the hair on my legs!

RE: rubber boot problems
The only thing i can tell you is get over the calf socks. Im in the army so they issue really good Wools for up here in Alaska that go almost to the knee. I just got a new pair of Lacrosse last week and they have the cinch in the back that if you get it tight enough it should hold the socks up. Plus I know it sounds like a pain but you should buy new wool socks every year especially if they are smart wool because your dryer which everyone at one time or another has used instead of hanging them ruins the fibers.

I never knew the dryer ruined woolens. Thanks. Just got a free set of woolrich cammies. I'll have to remember not to dry them. Next question, where do I find a hanger sturdy enough to hand up those things lol. I bet they weigh 40 lbs when wet!

Alot of times with stuff like that i just hang them over a line in the basement just make up a stringer. Or you can buy the collapsable clothes line stuff from walmart. My wife uses one for her sweaters so thats what i use.
