Interesting that here in WIsconsin it always ends up being from Nov. 5th - 14th?? It really does not change much from year to year.

Here the NR season ends November 15th....its usually around the 8th or 10th that the chase phase really kicks in. By the time things are in really high gear here, I can't hunt anymore.
You'll be tagged out by then and then you can try for another in Wis.
You're right.....you draggin' him out for me?

Not that i have seen and met Gregh, he is not in the best of shape. Better bring a 4 wheeler if the drag is more than 20 yds

Hi huntnma,
New here. Was wondering what dates you think are the rut in central fl.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
The timing of rut differs by region within the state of Florida and may also differ from one year to the next within the same region. Usually it's in Oct., but i have seen rutting bucks in Sept....I would continue to ask other florida hunters to see what they think as well.....Over in Polk county, i hear it's Dec.

During opening weekend of gun season in Wisconsin last year I saw two different bcuks chasing two different does wiht there noses low to the ground. Then I saw a group of six bucks chasing two does and harrassing them quite a bit. I ended up taking one of the six bucks with my Savage 7 mm but that was the 18th and 19th of Novemebr. That seemed really late for the chasing phase of the rut to be in full bloom.
