Default Feeders......does it scare them?

I was wondering what your guys opinion was on deer feeders. If it scares them or not? I know they kinda get used to them after a while but will the big bucks come eat out of them or not?

It does'nt scare them, just makes You see less deer.
They can go nocturnal and do not have to forage for food, less deer movement.

Im not sure if you mean electronic feeders or trough type? I can kinda see how the trough type can make em go internal but if its an electronic feeder just set it to what time you want and I will say they wont stay so nocturnal??

Nope, no problem. The whole idea is to get deer moving through the area you're hunting. The rest all depends on the patteren of those deer in that particular location. If that feeder is close to a bedding area, and it's set an hour after daybreak and an hour before dark, there's a strong chance you'll catch something coming or going. Every food source has competition from not only deer, but other critters as well. Stupid squirrels know exactly when that thing is going to go off in the evening. Tree Rats!. Gotta love em'. Certainly can't kill them all

Scare them? Not hardly. Doesn't take them any time at all to figure out that sound means food. Deer will line up in the brush just waiting to hear that pan drop. When it does, they dash straight in to get their share. It's always does and small bucks though.

The big boys won't come in till after dark. They didn't get big by being stupid.
