I would only if it was top 10 in the state. Otherwise, i'm not going to bother.

I have 6 animals that would qualify. I have never entered any in the books & I have not used their information for any reason either.
Why? Unfortunatly, I know of people who have had questionable "fair Chase" kills that were entered.Over the years, some of these individuals& their antics caught up with them.Soured me at a young age (30) & I've been bowhunting 51 this year.
Don't get me wrong, I think the guy that puts an animal in the books has accomplised something-no matter Gun or Bow & I take my hat off to them. It's just not for some individuals but I see no reason why some fella or lady can't use their information if they don't contribute to P&Y or B&C.
If we hunt, I am sure we all contribute to our sport.
Good Luck this fall & if your into records, I hope you get one. I am hoping to get one myself but then, a big fat Doe will do.
Oh, I have never purchased a biggame gun tag but I still like to see the people who are great in that sport & what they have done.

I may enter one in my lifetime. That is because I think the organization does a lot for the archery community. It would have to be a truly extraordinary buck though for me to enter it. I don't like the fact that there are deductions because I believe a buck should be scored as it lived and died, the deductions ar manmade statistics. That being said, it is their club and their rules.

For me to want to enter one it would have to be B&C class or better, and that will most likely be the only one entered.

...just don't care to jump through their hoops.
What "hoops"? I've entered 7 with no hoops to jump through, simply got it scored, sent in the form with the money and wala! Entered.

BTW, I purchased one P&Y record book back in 1993 when I had 3 entered, so it's not really so I can look at my name in a book. I do it because I think that the animal deserves it and that I support the P&Y organization.
