Default Bowtech vs Diamond

I was told the only difference between the two are the 2 cam vs the 1 cam and both are built at the same factory. Is the Diamond brand a cheaper version by Bowtech? The Diamond brand is available at all the big mail order places and Bowtech Dealersand the Bowtech brand only atthe Bowtech Dealers. I shot both a Bowtech Guardian and Diamond Black Ice at Hidden Valley Outdoors in Ohio this weekend. Both shot great, just wondering everyone else's opinion. I think the Black Ice felt better shooting than my Switchback XT.

Thanks in Advance

Jeff

As far as I can tell that is true. The diamond bows are great. Bowtech bought them out so they had another brand that they could sell in chain stores, etc. I would think.

I shot the black ice as well. I thought it was a terrific bow but I ended up buying a guardian. It just seemed to feel slightly better to me.

Bowtech has the binary cams and diamond has the single cam.

I did the same. The Black ice is a great bow but for a couple extra bucks (at least at my local pro shop) the guardian was the better deal

I bought a Diamond Rapture and i did so after i tested almost 15 other bows some in the same price range and ones higher and lower. And overall the Rapture is very forgiving i put it up against a Bowtech Guardian and it really came down to cam issues. For one i believe the Guardian has had some problems with cam lean and then there is the old timing issue. Plus the Rapture is almost dead silent.

The Diamond bows are intended to compete with the Mathews line from what I gather.

It was hard for bowtech to dog mathews one cam, espeically when they talked up the binary so much, but hey there is still profit to be made on the one cam lines. Just repackage it in a different name. I see a bunch of differenece to my liberty VFT and the diamond liberty, especially the cam, winners choice string. Few other minor things.

I thought bowtech bought diamond to compete with parker, pse, browning, all the bows sold in the big magazines andbowtech was competing with mathews
