Whatever you name him try putting an epitaph up with him. For example...
Here hangs Otis, he died of lead poisoning. May he have had many children.... (#190 8 pt)
This here deers name is Fred, I was hunting another and shot him instead (#165 10Pt, great hunt, my brother in law killed the one that had been leaving all the huge rubs, his weighed #185 8 pt's).
This was Jake he evaded death like a snake. In the end his life I did take (#192 palmated 8pt, memorable hunt)
Not sure what the next big buck will be called. As I sit in the stand each year I twiddle around and pick one or two out.
With that said, that deer sure looks like he has a rib cage on his head. I kinda liked the Mr. Manytines too.
